Playing catch up

I’m sure I’m not the only business owner that has other responsibilities in life and even though us entrepreneurs are busy with businesses, sometimes our other stuff takes priority.  I’m  finally getting to my blog after 2 months.  Good thing, is in that two months I’ve shot a few family shoots, senior portraits and a Wedding; so there will be new photos posted for portfolio soon:)  Happy Wednesday fellow entrepreneurs, business owners, photographers and followers!

And we have two little ones together, Braxin (5) and Berkley (2) We live north of Spokane, Washington in an area people refer to as the “boonies” but we thoroughly enjoy living in the country. We enjoy spending our time with family and friends and we love to spend time together outdoors.AMP...Family

Interior design is another passion of mine. One of my favorite shows is Fixer Upper on HGTV. They take these dumps of homes and turn them into masterpieces! Their designs are so inspiring.
6.What/Who is your biggest inspiration?  My biggest inspirations are Jasmine Star and Lisa Wise. They are two phenomenal photographers in the industry who not only do amazing work but they also work towards helping others build their businesses. 15. If you were given the opportunity to shoot something you haven’t before…what would it be? and why?  I would love to shoot a destination wedding!!! I have a huge desire to travel and see new places. And I would love to join a couple in celebrating their special day in a location they see as vacation! By shooting destination weddings you are taken out of your comfort zone of shooting at your local venues and you are also faced with new sets of challenges. Which I like. I like new challenges.
There you have it from the up and coming photographer herself.  If you live in the Washington area, give this artist a call, get your referrals in now, because this girl is going to busy busy busy!

Surprise in Tennessee

Those of you who follow my photography and read my last blog post, I stated that when I got to Tennessee I had a big surprise!  Not only was I sent there to take my cousins fall family photos (which will also be posted soon) but the real reason they flew me out was to take their WEDDING PHOTOS!  I was in shock, so excited but also had to change my mind-set from doing a simple family shoot to a wedding:)  It was such a great day.  It turned out to be only them, their children, the officiate and me, (the photographer, cousin, friend, wedding coordinator, support system, and witness) hahahahahaha.  It was so much fun!  Here are the photos people…

Marketing booths

20141030_181455-2 20141030_204131-2

I love doing marketing photo booths.  It’s such a great way to get out there and mingle with potential clients face to face.  No technology, just old school meet n’ greet.  This was a fall festival booth I did for a local school in my town.  It’s always a great idea to do some kind of giveaway or have a promotion going on specifically for the photo booth event.  People love FREE stuff.  I did a raffle and picked a lucky winner at the end of the night.  This family won a family shoot which retails at $300.  They were so excited!  I’ll be doing another blog post of that shoot coming within this next month:)

LaRu Photography is now available for Weddings! 2015 dates are now open for bookings.
